During the second week, parking outside the Madras St Hall for the evening, the Bus was the focus for more than 80 young folk of primary and secondary school age who came along to ‘Search for the true hero’ and to sing, learn Bible truths, do crafts, play games, enjoy great fun and have something to eat as well.
On Friday night a full hall of people heard wonderful singing from the PWAMM choir who travelled up from Perth just for the event. We also heard a word of Testimony from Dan and a Gospel message from Colin, ending with refreshments and fellowship together.
On Saturday afternoon around 200 people enjoyed a fun packed 2 hours of events between the hall, the Challenger bus and the nearby Playpark. Events included games in the park, BBQ and refreshments, Puppet show, singing, face-painting, nail-painting and hair-braiding. The photos give a feel for the atmosphere on the day.
Then on Saturday evening the hall was full with youngsters and parents again singing, receiving of prizes and a Gospel message from Dan.
What a great couple of weeks! Please pray that the Lord would come in power to cause the seed of his Word that was planted in many hearts to be watered and to grow to the honour of Jesus Christ, THE super hero that the young folk heard all about during the week.
