Our popular meeting to fill shoeboxes for the annual Blythswood appeal is due to take place on Tuesday 07 October at 7.30pm in the hall. Once again we will concentrate on filling boxes for male and female teenagers and adults. As in previous years we will need toothbrushes/paste, soap, hats, scarves, gloves, toiletries, stationery items etc. We need sweets too which MUST be dated for March 2015 or later and MUST NOT contain chocolate. We also need empty shoeboxes! There are leaflets at the doors which give full details.
In a departure from recent years we would like all the donations to be handed in before the 7th so that they can be sorted before the meeting starts enabling us to start packing the boxes shortly after 7.30pm. There will be a box/IKEA bags under the table in the kitchen from Wed 24 September for your donated items. Please come along and bring friends – anyone needing transport please phone Joan or Murina.
If you are able to help to sort the items and set up the hall on Monday 06 Oct from 2-4pm please speak to Anna or Jane.
